Your tasks

  • In the event of acute malfunction incidents at home and abroad, you will go troubleshooting and solve the problem independently or in teamwork.

  • You maintain, care for and support the existing Linux IT infrastructure as well as the VMware infrastructure together with your colleagues.

  • You take on routine tasks such as support, updates and log file analyses independently and carefully.

  • You support the IT helpdesk and your colleagues in the introduction of new technologies as well as in the implementation of projects and strategies.

  • You will support the departments assigned to you as well as the ERP software in consultation with the developers.

  • You document all work and tasks you perform completely and carefully.

Your profile

  • You have successfully completed a degree in computer science or engineering or have trained as an IT specialist for system integration or as a technical assistant for computer science.

  • You have many years of experience with Linux (preferably RHEL, CentOS and SuSE), ideally in large distributed, heterogeneous Linux server landscapes.

  • You have good knowledge in the area of virtualisation with VMware and have experience in rebuilding, hardware expansion and native Linux installation of PCs.

  • You work independently in a medium-sized, multidisciplinary and multilingual team.

  • You are open to new as well as old technologies, approach challenges fearlessly and bring along the willingness to continuously educate yourself.

  • You have a very good command of written and spoken German and English. Additional language skills, e.g. Polish, Czech or Dutch are desirable.
