As a manufacturer of packaging made of corrugated and solid cardboard, Schumacher Packaging processes renewable, natural raw materials resulting in the respective advantageous balance of CO2. Fallen wood and wood gained from forest thinning is generally used for the production of primary paper. Paper and cardboard is fully recyclable and can be composted. The starch paste used for packaging production is also gained from renewable raw materials, namely from corn, potatoes or wheat.

For our corrugated packaging we use 80% recycling material and even 100% for cardboard qualities.

All of the printing colours and varnishes used in flexography printing are water soluble, are free of any harmful substances and can easily be disposed of. All of our colours used in offset printing have been tested for compatibility with foodstuffs and can therefore also be used on primary packaging.

Our own logistics fleet with 60 lorries fulfil the terms of the most recent and extremely strict Euro-6 emissions norm. We also use the latest AdBlue technology: with the use of an additional diesel SCR emissions catalyser, harmful nitrogen oxide can be converted into safe nitrogen and water.
